Haut-Katanga Province (proposed)
Haut-Katanga Province is a proposed province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, originally due to be established when the country's new constitution was implemented in February 2009.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 Constitution de la République démocratique du Congo: Article 2 )〕
The new province was to consist of the Haut-Katanga District and the cities of Lubumbashi and Likasi.

As of October 2010, the new province had not yet come into existence.〔(【引用サイトリンク】 The AMP conclave: Another step towards 2011 elections )〕
In September 2011 the position of "Minister of Decentralization" was abolished.
This was the minister responsible for implementing the new provinces.
